Joey Barton
Another terrific game from him again today, he's been playing well all season in the defensive midfield role.

Great at reading the game, brilliant positioning and a brilliant tackler.........should be on our radar if QPR go down.

He only assaults other blokes. Our stars knock birds about

I'd take him on a free
Like his arrogance we've not got enough players like him

Ha ha! I nearly wrote like Nolan but to be fair to the bloke, he is a Scouse gobshite but he isn't a trouble maker.

Re: Joey Barton
Ok, so if we are being serious for a second. Barton makes on average about 8 mistakes a game. Two of which will be quite serious. Fucking liability.

Re: Joey Barton
I'd sign the player Joey Barton thinks he is in a second.

Unfortunately, that player is not available as he is playing for Unreal Madrid.

Re: Joey Barton
As a squad man yes but not as a first 11 choice. He would not come to play 2nd fiddle and would disrupt the squad probably if he was not a first team regular. fAir enough if he proves he is the best option but would he be prepared to do that at his age?

Thats the problem for us though. We need better players but as a squad not just a first 11. That takes a few seasons and a lot of money as we would need to pay teh understudies big money too.

Arsenal have proved this I tghink since they are just showing signs of the cummulative strength of their squad finally. It has taken 4 or 5 seasons following the paying off of teh stadium to get to that point though.

Until we have the likes of Noble, Collins, Downing and Valencia getting the money ("golden handcuffs") to be ok with being rotated and not playing all the time, we will, like so many teams, always be outside that top 4 or 5.

Of course, all of the above assumes we also have a better manager to get teh best of better technical players and teh bigger "Star" names.

This is why the top 4 talk of early season caused me to smile :-) It will take us year on year investment and large salaries across the squad to have the strength and depth to really take a step up. That or the arrival of an exceptional group of youngsters from the academy but that will also take 10 + years.

IMHO of course

Re: Joey Barton
He took a bit of working down. Think it was the hypocrisy I exposed of him calling her a murdered and all her murdering friends covering up for her.

Dozy cunt.

Piers Morgan took very little effort - surprising considering he has 3m + followers!

Re: Joey Barton
I've never had the honour of being blocked by him despite mentioning that sort of thing to him. George Galloway once blocked me over Thatcher. Seems she really is/was a divisive character.

Re: Joey Barton
And when your own cousin is a murderer.

He didn't take too kindly to that on Twitter and blocked me when he accused Thatcher of being a murdered.

Touchy pikey cunt.

Re: Joey Barton
He considers himself a bastion of social justice. Hard to listen to someone talk about that when they earn millions and assault people for a living.

Re: Joey Barton
He's always been a bang average footballer.

Doesn't even talk a good game. Would happily like to see him fucked up beyond comprehension.

Makes a show of himself everytime I see him on TV.

'Why would we want a gobshite, Scouse trouble maker that is 33 in September?'

Nolan is actually 33 in June

I was laughing at his glory attempt to volley it over the keeper from 25 yards instead of playing in Austin.

Re: Joey Barton
I watched QPR v Chelsea on Sky and saw Joey Barton busy himself and do OK but making lots of errors too. Why would we want a gobshite, Scouse trouble maker that is 33 in September?

We wouldn't....

This Is superb. One of your main criticisms of a certain midfielder we have is goals, Barton has scored one PL goals in 3 years I believe?

Re: Joey Barton
Too old , too mental.
We need energy , skill and athleticism not another plodder.
Better available elsewhere.

I'd be looking at someone like Cabaye who isn't getting a look in at PSG and another like Kouyate. As well as Diarra who presumably we will try again for.

Miles better than noble. But no thanks.

Austin is who we should be after
